RSM Piano/Keyboard Foundation (36 Weeks)
Foundation Level | 36 weekly lessons based on the RSM Piano/Keyboard Method Book
A 9-month (36-week) Foundation course for piano and keyboard, delivered week by week from the RSM Piano/Keyboard Method Book. Phase 1 (Weeks 1-6): Numerical Learning - posture, finger numbers, first songs. Phase 2 (Weeks 7-13): ASPN Learning - note names, accidentals, rhythm and time signatures. Phase 3 (Weeks 14-28): Staff Notation with Guided Note Heads - clefs, note values, scales, triads, ties, rests, articulation. Phase 4 (Weeks 29-36): Western Staff Notation - dynamics, keyboard functions and a final recital. Monthly checkpoints in Weeks 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32 and 36.
